Student Counseling Services

The Counseling Center offers free, confidential therapy to all eligible students. They provide short-term support for various issues, like stress, anxiety, relationships, and more. If you need longer-term care, they’ll help find the right community provider. They offer individual counseling, group counseling, couples counseling, crisis intervention, referrals, and consultation.

Longest Student Health Center

Mississippi State University’s Longest Student Health Center provides comprehensive and affordable healthcare to students during the academic year. Staffed with qualified medical professionals, the center offers primary care, pharmacy, lab, and x-ray services alongside additional resources like nutrition counseling and health education. While most visits are covered by the student health fee, additional services are available on a fee-for-service basis. For more specialized needs, the center can refer you to appropriate resources. Additionally, the center accepts most insurance plans and offers a voluntary student accident and sickness plan for comprehensive coverage throughout your studies.

Health Promotion and Wellness

Health Promotion and Wellness strives to be a national leader in fostering lifelong well-being for all students. Collaborating with campus and community partners, they offer a holistic approach to wellness, encompassing eight interconnected dimensions. Their guiding principles, including health equity, social justice, and empowerment, ensure everyone feels welcome and supported on their unique wellness journey. Through research, collaboration, and advocacy, they cultivate a campus environment where everyone plays a role in creating and sustaining a culture of well-being for all. Ultimately, they believe access to wellness resources is essential for student success and a thriving university community.

Collegiate Recovery Community

The Bulldogs in Recovery program fosters courage, hope, and citizenship in students recovering from various addictions. They offer a comprehensive support system, promoting academic, professional, and spiritual success while educating the campus and community about addiction and recovery. Their mission includes serving the university and wider community, fostering resilience in students, contributing to addiction research, and fighting the stigma surrounding recovery.
